Convention Schedule

State Convention

April 11-12, 2026 - Second Saturday in April of even numbered years.  A state convention consists of delegates selected at the county conventions.

District Conventions

March 21, 2026 - Second Saturday after the second Tuesday in March of even numbered years.  A district convention consists of delegates selected at the county conventions within the district.

County Conventions

March 14, 2026 - First Saturday after the second Tuesday in March of even numbered years.  A county convention consists of delegates selected at precinct conventions.

Precinct Conventions

March 10, 2026 - Second Tuesday in March of even numbered years in the regular county election precincts.

Convention Notice

10 days immediately preceding the date of the convention.

Seasoning Requirement

Must be an affiliated member and register to vote in Texas 30 days prior to selection as a delegate.

Membership

A person is eligible to become a Voting Member of the Party if the person:

i. is a qualified Texas voter;

ii. signs a statement of general agreement with the Party’s Statement of Principles;

iii. signs the Libertarian Pledge: "I certify that I oppose the initiation of force to achieve political or social goals."; and

iv. is not:

A. affiliated with any other political party;

B. seeking nomination for public or party office in or by any other political party, or;

C. a candidate for election to public office by any other political party.
