Convention Schedule: Primary Conventions are held in midterm years. Secondary Conventions are held during Presidential election years.

Special Note: Members of the State Central Committee are elected by Precinct, Ward, or Township Committeemen during County Conventions. Those Committeemen are elected in a primary when the LPIL has ballot access, or by the County Central Committee when it does not, or by the State Central Committee when there is no County Central Committee.

Membership: Two-tiered membership. Open members swear or affirm the Membership Pledge; Sustaining Members are Open Members who pay $25 annual dues.

How to Participate for 2025/2026: Register to vote and join and pay dues to the LPIL. It is unclear how to participate when there is no ballot access. We are reaching out to the LPIL to clarify this.
